Several separate studies have shown that wine accelerates fat burning.

Research conducted by the University of Alberta in Canada found that the health benefits of resveratrol, a compound found in red wine, are similar to those we gain from exercise.

According to the lead researcher, Jason Dyck, these findings will especially help those who can not exercise. Resveratrol improves the physical performance, heart function and muscle strength in the same way as exercising in the gym does.

“I think that resveratrol may help patients who want to exercise but are physically incapable,” he says.

The health benefits of red wine are well documented. Studies have shown that those who drink a glass of red wine a day have a lower probability of developing dementia or cancer, affects well the heart health, slows down aging and regulates the blood sugar level.

However, this refers to moderate quantities, and the study was conducted on mice, not in humans.

However, if you want to increase the intake of resveratrol in the body, try blueberries, peanut butter, red grapes and dark chocolate. Remember, a balanced diet means everything!
